FAQs

Welcome to our Zola website Here are some answers to anticipated questions. If you have any other questions, please reach out to James and Jessica at jamesandjessicadervay@gmail.com or 201-661-1774. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Click RSVP in the top menu and type in your last name in the search bar to bring up your RSVP and meal selection form. If you are not able to RSVP online or are experiencing a technical glitch, please contact James and Jessica at jamesandjessicadervay@gmail.com or 201-661-1774. (We will be connecting with any elderly guests such as grandparents who are unable to access online RSVP to take note of their attendance and meal selections.)

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal/formal. For context, the ceremony will be in a traditional Orthodox church setting and the reception is in a formal ballroom. The bridal party will be in long gowns and tuxedos, and the parents of the couple will be in tuxedos and gowns. James and Jessica will of course be all dressed up too!

Question

Which hotel would you recommend?

Answer

Please view the 'Travel' tab at the top menu for hotel recommendations. We have wedding blocks at two different hotels close to the reception venue.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

The envelope on your formal invitation indicates who is invited and if a guest applies. When you go to RSVP online, a guest form fill should also appear if it applies to your invitation.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

This is an adults-only ceremony and reception.

Question

Are there any COVID-19 protocols in effect?

Answer

The church and Lake Pearl must follow whatever mandates are required by the government at the time. Right now, we are free of mandates and celebrating normalcy.

Question

What if I get sick ahead of the wedding?

Answer

If you are sick and RSVP'd yes, we encourage you to stay home to avoid the spread of illness and to be considerate of other guests. Please do contact us as soon as possible if this happens so we can let the venue know and adjust accordingly. We won't be mad - we'd rather you be honest and we understand. Please note that COVID-19 can present very subtle symptoms. If you are feeling slightly 'off,' we encourage you to get properly tested to confirm you are negative before attending.

For all the days along the way
