Let's Have a Wedding!

Derrick and I were both athletes at the University of Arizona. He was on the football team and I was on the softball team. Unbeknownst to us, we lived only few doors down from one another for an entire year and probably crossed paths countless times in the athletic facilities before bumping into each other at a party. I was more than a couple games of beer pong in when I stumbled into Derrick's arms. He had my attention in minutes and my heart soon after. We spent the whole summer of 2013 together while he trained for his final football season. He was so exhausted that we never went on a real date until my birthday in August. He took me to BJ's where I intentionally ordered the messiest thing on the menu to make sure he knew what he was getting himself into. I must have looked really cute slurping my spaghetti because it was that night that we became boyfriend and girlfriend!

Last Christmas my Mom and Dad hosted a "Beer Night"- a night where we indulge on a wide variety of craft beers, delicious food and laughter. After a few words from my Dad to kick off the night, he passed the toast to Derrick, and suddenly he was on a knee! After tasting way too many beers than is appropriate, we all piled in Ubers and made it to a local dive bar where I was surprised by so many of the closest people in our lives. It was perfectly, us. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in Orange County!
