Well, as I recall it (Angela) I walked into Dreamah's birthday party and started to say hello to everyone. As I was saying hello I noticed a guy making his way towards me with open arms greeting me with “Hi, it’s nice to meet you”. Thoughts ran through my head like ‘Do I know him? Though I didn’t know him, I thought it was a kind gesture. Throughout the night Derrick and I had talked and he mentioned that he was leaving early. I had invited him to meet up with me and the girls afterwards…and if he and his friend Noah wanted to join us at Cuba Libre. He thought he was smooth by giving me his number instead of asking for mine..so I made the first move of texting him so he could meet up with us later. To my surprise, he showed up. We danced the night away. I had such a great night and at the end of the night, Derrick asked if he could see me again. Love was in the air, I just didn't know it yet. After that night we talked every day. We’ve traveled, created many memories, moved in together, and are now engaged. We are looking forward to our special day. So let me tell you how it really went down (Derrick). So I’m just getting to Dreamah’s birthday party and this gorgeous girl walks in. I give Noah the elbow nudge like "OMG, she looks so good". So I wanted to make a good first impression so I approached her with a hug saying “It’s nice to meet you.” We talked all night but I had another birthday party to go to. I was leaving early, but I didn’t want the conversation to end. I gave Angie my number and told her to let me know when she was going to Cuba Libre. I went to the other party. Angie texted me to meet up. Now, you already know how I dance so I worked my salsa dancing skills on Angie and she was digging it. At the end of the night, we parted ways and ended up texting the next morning, then the next day, and then the next. I wanted to talk to her all the time. I knew she was special. Four years later and I’m getting ready to marry the woman of my dreams.
