In case you've got any questions about the event (or us)

Answer

Yes. We will be serving fried chicken, Philly cheese steak, kielbasa & pierogis, a Caesar salad, cookies Oakmont bakery, and more.

Question

What's Claire's favorite movie? Derek's?

Answer

Claire: It changes regularly, but as of right now, my favorite movies is "No Country for Old Men." Derek: One of my favorite movie's is the Jurassic Park. Good plot. Dinosaurs. Old grumpy men. What more could you want in a film?

Question

Will there be alcohol served?

Answer

Yes. There will be a few cases of beer, wine, and champagne. If you don't think that can hold you over, then pregame?

Question

What's Derek's favorite band? What about Claire?

Answer

Derek: The Beatles top the list for me, but a close second is probably Bon Iver. So expect a mix of sad folk and classic rock hits from my half of the playlist! Claire: Tough question, but I probably have to go with Wilco!

Question

What is the world's oldest operating winery? What about the oldest in the US?

Answer

Located in the small town of Kröv in the Mosel Valley of Germany's Rhineland-Palatinate state, Staffelter Hof is the world's oldest operating winery. It traces its lineage to the Benedictine abbey of Stavelot monastery established more than 1150 years ago. Brotherhood Winery, America's oldest continuously operating winery, is located about a 1.5-hour drive from Manhattan in Washingtonville, New York. This winery was founded in 1839 by a cobbler, it later adopted the name of a Utopian society and managed to stay open during Prohibition, which began on January 16, 1920, and lasted for 13 years.

Question

Is there parking at the event?

Answer

Yes, but parking is going to be tight with the number of expected guests. If possible, we ask that folks fill their cars to the brim, five seats mean five guests can fit. We want everyone to ensure that a designated driver operates your vehicle after the party to make sure we all arrive home safely!

Question

How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Answer

Richard Thomas, a New York state wildlife expert, decided to answer that question some years back. He found that, while a woodchuck doesn’t actually chuck wood, they do in fact chuck quite a bit of dirt when digging out a burrow. On a good day they can chuck around 35 cubic feet of dirt (or about 700 pounds).

Question

Is the Pope Catholic? Does a bear shit in the woods?

Answer

Yes to both in fact.
