FAQ

Question

Where will we sleep?

Answer

There are 23 cabins located throughout Camp Namanu that have all been booked for you! They range from having 16 to 8 beds, and from open-air tree houses to cabins with full kitchens and bathrooms. While there are a ton of beds per cabin, not every bed will be filled (unless you want to)! On your RSVP submission, you can indicate what kind of cabin you'd like to stay in and if there are any people you'd prefer to share space with. If you don't know yet, or don't have a strong preference, we will sort everything out for you! Additionally, campers/RVs, tents, and hotels in nearby Sandy, OR are options, depending on how rustic you like your camping wedding experience to be. We've had tons of questions about the cabins, so feel free to reach out to us directly. You can also check out the campsite's website to get a better feel for the layout!

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

No, sadly, Camp Namanu does not allow any dogs on the premises.

Question

What should we expect for food?

Answer

There will be catered Welcome Party dinner, Breakfast on the morning of the 11th, and dinner at the wedding reception. There will be to-go breakfast on Sunday the 12th.

Question

What kinds of activities will there be on Saturday?

Answer

Camp Namanu is located on the Sandy river, with a beach area for swimming. You can arrange to float from nearby Dodge Park, or relax on the beach. There are lots of outdoor areas to hang out and enjoy the Oregon summer. Note that there will be brunch on Saturday but no lunch. You can plan to cook something (the kitchen will be available) or head to a nearby restaurant if you think you'll need some fuel ahead of the ceremony.

Question

Kids?

Answer

Kids are totally welcome and encouraged. Keep in mind that because cabins are limited in supply and made to house as many people as possible, it may be hard to coordinate a totally private or quiet area for your little ones - consider teaming up with some friends who can share in childcare duties and are on the same page with quiet times!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We recommend summer-friendly casual attire. Garden party, rustic chic, country couture - call it whatever you want - have some fun mixing a little class with some outdoors-in-the-middle of July functionality. Rain is unlikely, but it will cool off a little bit at night. Camp Namanu is a summer camp and the events will be dispersed with dirt paths, steps, old wood floors, and grassy lawns - choose your footwear carefully!
