We're Getting Married!

Neginah and Derek first connected years ago on a dating app, but it wasn't love at first swipe. Instead, Derek patiently (and persistently) pursued Neginah, and over time, the two built a genuine friendship. After years of laughter, late night conversations, and growing closer, their friendship blossomed into something more. They officially began dating on August 19, 2019, and the rest is history!

On August 16, 2022, Derek flew Neginah to Pittsburgh, PA for what she thought was just a special trip. Little did she know, Derek had something unforgettable planned. He proposed at Mount Washington, overlooking the Pittsburgh stadium, an incredibly meaningful spot, as it was where his grandparents shared their first kiss over 50 years ago. After she said yes, Neginah was surprised with a FaceTime call from her family, who had all been in on the secret and were waiting to celebrate the moment with her.
