Stephanie is Lauren's baby sister. Since Stephanie came into the world I have always loved her. I was almost eight when she was born and really thought she was my own personal baby. I spent hours in our basement in Delaware holding her, dancing with her and singing to her. As a child she was certainly a tomboy, thanks to my brother and unlike me, which made her a tough and spunky kid. Over the years she has grown into a wonderful lady. Stephanie is a very thoughtful and kind hearted person who wants the best for the people she surrounds herself with. She has always been there for me through good and bad. I can't imagine my life without her and I'm so thankful to have her by my side for my big day!
Kati Laganis
Bridesmaid
Kati is Lauren's sister-in-law, although she feels more like a sister. Kati came into my life during her college years. I knew my brother really loved her from the beginning. Over the years Kati has been the best addition my family could have hoped for. Kati is one of the strongest people I know and continues to surprise me with her perseverance for life. Plus, she has brought my wonderful nieces and nephew into our family. I'm so happy to have her with me on my wedding day!
Adam Rothstein
Best Man
Adam is Derek's friend from their restaurant days in NY. Adam and I first met working at Bobo in the West Village. Over time we became close friends as we share several interests. Adam and I love to watch baseball and football together. I am a yankees fan and he is a mets fan, which makes for interesting conversations. However, we are both Jets fans, as torturous as that may be. Jenna, Adam's wife, is also one of my close friends. Together we have cooked and ate many meals. Since they moved to Charleston, Lauren and I have been down for several visits. We always enjoy our time together. I stood by Adam when he got married and I am so thankful to have him by my side for my big day!
Garrett Piche
Groomsman
Garrett has been Derek's best friend since his early twenties. Garrett and I met working together in a French bistro in Albany, NY. After our shifts we would hangout and quickly became close friends. As our friendship grew we had the opportunity to live in the same building, Garrett's mother, Mary Ellen owns. During this time our friendship became more of a brotherhood and Mary Ellen is mom number two. Garrett is fun hearted, well traveled and always up for a good meal. Through all of the years I know Garrett will always be there for me and I will be there for him. I'm pumped to have him with me on my wedding day!
Philip Laganis
Officiant
Philip is Lauren's brother. Philip and I have been a part of each other's life for as long as I can remember. Growing up as kids we were best friends and inseparable. In high school we would end our nights talking in each other's rooms. Over the years we have been together through more than most. When Derek came into my life and met my brother, Philip automatically liked him. This was never the case prior to Derek. Philip is the person people want to be around. He is energetic, outgoing and loves talking with people. For all of these reason, Philip will be officiating our wedding. We feel so honored to have him marry us!
