Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

There's nothing Jules loves more than to take Derek on big, crazy adventures. While traditional gifts are always appreciated, we mostly encourage contributions to our honeymoon fund. Visit our registry page where you can easily contribute what you wish. It also includes some physical gift options if you prefer that. We appreciate you!

Do you have a room block available?

Answer

Yes! We have worked with the Monterey Hotel to set aside a room block for guests traveling from out of town at a discounted rate! Simply contact the hotel at (831) 375-3184 or email Josh at joshr@moonstonehotels.com to book your stay under the Nielsen group (under Derek Nielsen). Please keep in mind that earliest check-in is at 3pm for the hotel & our ceremony begins at 3:30pm, so consider your arrival date when making plans!

Ceremony will begin at 4pm, so we recommend arriving at 3:30pm!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We encourage guests to dress up! Cocktail or cocktail casual works just fine. Feel free to embrace vibrant colors and playful patterns. Be flashy, be colorful, be ready to dance.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is one small public parking lot on Mission and 8th street right around the corner from the women's club. Otherwise, parking is restricted to street availability at the venue and might not be very reliable. We recommend all of our guests utilize carpool or ridesharing services from downtown Monterey (about 10-15 minutes away).

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have set up a room block at the Monterey Hotel in downtown Monterey. If you are looking for other affordable options, check out these nearby options on N Fremont Street: The Pacific Inn, El Castell Motel, Ramada by Wyndham, or Scottish Fairway Inn.
