It was December 31st 2019, where both Dani and Derek were debating on going to a New Years Eve party. Thankfully, both of them decided on going, where they met and started to get to know each other. Before they both knew it, they were talking all night. After a wonderful night together, Derek then had to leave the party. After saying goodbye and leaving, he realized he made the mistake of not getting Dani's number. Therefore, he immediately got on his phone, went on Facebook, and found Dani and requested to be her friend. After seeing that she accepted the friend request, Derek messaged right away to tell her how much fun he had that night and would love to meet up again. They went on coffee dates, dinner dates, and spent as much time as they could together. After he asked her to be his girlfriend, they have been inseparable ever since.
