Derek and Chloe met in 2017 while working at iClick together. Chloe had just moved to Seattle for her new marketing job, and Derek was on the sales team. Derek remembers seeing Chloe come in for her interview and thinking she was pretty :). As soon as Chloe started, she immediately had a crush on Derek and would awkwardly try to say hi or talk to him in passing. She often pretended to print documents because his desk was beside the printer! Eventually, Derek and Chloe cross-trained together, and she stayed at his desk talking to him (and distracting him!) for most of the day. Chloe must have worked her charms because Derek later asked her out on a date! After meeting up at a cafe after work near Green Lake, they got tea and walked around the lake until it was dark, talking for hours. They had drinks and dinner at Green Lake Bar and Grill. They went to a trade show together in Las Vegas, and the rest is history! It was a true Jim and Pam love story. Chloe and Derek started dating in 2018 and got engaged on December 24, 2022. Derek knows how much Chloe loves Christmas, so he a planned for months to propose to her on Christmas Eve. With the help of both families, Derek proposed to Chloe in Olympia under a beautiful display of twinkling lights with her family watching. Derek and Chloe can’t wait to celebrate with their family and friends as they continue their love story!
