Almost a decade ago, Derek and Brittany met for the first time. Everyone could tell that they had a crush on each other but they would always deny it. Everyone knew they would be married one day, and never let them forget it. Derek was the shy, chill at home guy, and Brittany was the social butterfly. Soon they were living next door to each other and became the best of friends. They always hung out, alone and with the other friends in their group- playing video games, hide n seek outside, beach days, and much more. It wasn’t until 2014 when she found out Derek had a prom date.. jealousy much? She texted him asking who his date was, what she looked like, how it happened, and that's where it began!

They had been talking about getting married since they found out they were expecting their sweet angel, Lilly. Brittany was obsessed with looking at rings, saving weddings pins to her dream wedding album on Pinterest- dropping hints.. can you blame her? She knew it was coming very soon, didn't know the exact date, or just how he was going to propose but she was patiently waiting. April 23rd, 2015, Derek went into the bedroom and was gone awhile.. Brittany's stomach had knots, she wasn't sure what he was doing but she knew he was up to something. He decorated the room, and dressed their sleeping one month old, in a onesie that said "mommy will you marry my daddy?" and invited her in. With a screaming baby, and no hesitation it was a big YES.
