We met in Fall of 2020 in Zoom class for the University of Oregon's Business Honors program. We were two of a small handful of accounting students in the cohort, leading our class schedules to line up perfectly. Audrey recalls Derek standing out for his energetic personality, quick wit, and patience with her poor net present value skills. Derek noticed Audrey's lightheartedness, comforting nature, jokes, and organizational skills that were lightyears beyond his own. Over time, our group project and study sessions turned into long chats on the phone, wine and Bachelor nights, and walks to Autzen stadium. Even amongst the pandemic, we chose each other with intent from the beginning, and we continue to do so every day. We are so excited to share the beginning of this next chapter of our lives with all of you!
