When we lived around here, it always made for a fun day/night out. A cute historic downtown to go for some small-town beachy vibes, with good food and boutique shops (and bonus, not far from the beach).
For our outdoor lovers, you can visit one of the last unspoiled coastal wetlands on the Atlantic Coast, with salt marshes, coastal dunes, and hardwood hammocks. Some key places of interest are Fort Caroline, Kingsley Plantation, and Kathyrn Abbey Hanna Park.
A fun place to see a wide variety of wildlife (favourite of ours are the baby jaguars!)
Another historic district worth checking out if you are staying close to downtown. We love this walkable charming neighborhood. They also have the Riverside Arts Market every Saturday!
Here you can enjoy the beach and some of Florida's famous coastal life. Jax Beach, Atlantic Beach, and Neptune Beach are all great places to go, relax, and soak up some sun.
If you are in the mood for some shopping or good food, this spot has it all!
The Nation's Oldest City! This is a great place to check out if you have a little extra time. Lots of historic attractions, buildings, and activities. Our favorites are the Lightner Museum, Flagler College, and Castillo de San Marcos.
