It was a cold, snowy day in December where two strangers, although complete opposites, had the exact same thing in mind. Rewinding to about 7:00 PM that evening, both of which were sitting at their individual homes in their PJS receiving text after text from friends, who happened to be mutual, begging to join them in a huge group to go bowling. Although both were dreading this bowling frenzy, little did they know, their entire lives would change forever. As she walked in the door and their eyes were locked, that is when they both knew that this was going to be the beginning of something extraordinary. Not many words were exchanged between the two after finding out he was heading off on a new adventure across the country in Houston, Texas leaving their minds and hearts confused. After they said their goodbyes, he built up the courage and decided to not let the woman of his dreams and the distance come between them and well, the rest was history.
Exactly three years later, on December 21, 2018, their lives would never be the same. Waking up and going about their day as if it was any other, he sent her off to work with butterflies in his stomach eager to shut the door and take the day on to make sure everything was all set and perfect for that night. She came home to flowers and wine with a note reading, "Reservations at J. Alexander's @ 5." While she hurried and got ready, 4:45 came sooner than expected and they left home trying his best to keep everything on schedule. While her stomach was full, his was filled with nothing other than butterflies from the nerves. His heart races while he pays the bill and heads off to their next destination which happened to be their favorite place ever, The Toledo Zoo. Stopped in front of the huge famous Christmas tree, oblivious to it all, she turns around and finds the man of her dreams on one knee holding the ring she had always dreamed of. Without being able to get many words out from the tears, she took his hand while shaking her head and said, "YES" and that was the moment that changed it all.
