In one's late twenties and early thirties, the search for potential dating partners can prove to be quite challenging. In the current era, many individuals turn to online dating platforms to connect with others. The process often involves swiping right or left, engaging in conversations with various individuals to assess compatibility, and ultimately arranging a date. Our initial encounter took place online, followed by a meeting a few weeks later at Outback Steakhouse. Although the beginning was somewhat awkward, our conversation flowed naturally. Following that initial evening, we both recognized our desire to continue exploring our connection. We subsequently met on several occasions, enjoying activities such as mini-golf, dining out, and visiting the beach. On June 12, 2022, we officially established our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend. Despite residing in different states, we successfully nurtured our relationship and experienced growth together as a couple.

We had organized a trip to the Netherlands to participate in a Karate Tournament. Kyle's karate instructor arranged an extensive journey to the Netherlands for a Tang Soo Do competition against various countries. The duration of the trip was brief, yet the weekend was filled with numerous activities. We departed on Thursday, November 7, 2024, and arrived in the Netherlands on Friday, November 8, 2024. That evening, we attended the premiere of the film "Killer Ex," in which Kyle's instructor plays the lead role and Kyle has a minor part. On Saturday, November 9, 2024, we spent the entire day at the Karate tournament. Although we were fatigued afterward, we still ventured to a Food Hallen for dinner and socialized with other students and their parents. That evening, we made plans to take a train to Amsterdam the following day for exploration and shopping. On Sunday, November 10, 2024, we set off for Amsterdam. We strolled around, arranged an Anne Frank walking tour, and enjoyed dinner before embarking on a shopping excursion. After shopping, we returned to the train station, where Kyle expressed a desire to take a photo beneath a stunning heart sculpture located in the center of the station. After capturing the moment, he unexpectedly knelt down and proposed. Being in shock, all Sarah could say was "Are you serious?" The entire train station erupted in cheers, creating a truly magical experience. To our delight, a generous stranger recorded the moment and shared it with us. It was an unforgettable day.
