Three facts about me: I’m 27 years old, I was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and I have a relatively poor memory. So, I confess that I’m not able to recall exactly how Denzel and I became friends. After leaving DC to get an MBA at Stanford, I now reside in sunny San Francisco, California but Shanna and I stay close through our weekly trash TV nights (feel free to ask for recommendations). I’m Terence Corey Blount, Denzel’s older brother (yes, he is taller). Went to school together with Denzel from Fredericksburg Montessori, Fredericksburg Academy, Salem Elementary, Freedom Middle, and Courtland High (It was a lot of school). Went to college for architectural engineering at North Carolina A&T State University. Watching Denzel grow into the man he is makes me proud to have him as my brother. Denzel and I met our freshmen year at UMD one random night “studying” in the dorm lounge at 3 AM, and later decided to be roommates and brothas for life. Shanna and I first met in Mr. Tolley’s class in sixth grade. We have since gone to high school and college together. We even got to play on the same ultimate frisbee team. We have gotten into some shenanigans over the years, including scaling a cliff on the west coast of Scotland to evade the incoming tide. Shanna has always been so supportive and for some reason laughs at all my jokes. I can’t wait to celebrate Shanna and Denzel. I am Justin Worthington, Denzel’s cousin. I am blessed to have a cousin who I also consider a brother and a best friend. We have made countless memories during legendary cousin sleepovers. We would make our parents angry by staying up too late and by creating WWE scenes almost breaking new furniture. Denzel and I have grown a close bond over the years through our shared interest such as anime, video games, music, and last but not least...candied yams.
