On March 18, 2022, our story began with a first date at The Mont. Denny showed up with flowers in hand, and somewhere between the nervous smiles, shy conversation, and the mutual awkwardness of two people trying very hard to seem normal, something undeniable began to grow. At the time, I had just uprooted my life in Kansas and moved to Oklahoma, searching for a fresh start with new experiences, new friendships, and a chance to rediscover myself. Love was the last thing I expected to find and definitely not as quickly as I did. But then came Denny. With his patience, kindness, and steady heart, he slowly broke down every wall I tried to keep around myself. Even when I kept him at arm’s length and doubted what we could become, he never stopped showing up with quiet certainty, unwavering love, and probably enough patience to deserve some sort of award. What started as an unexpected connection quickly became the safest and happiest part of my life. Four years later, we’ve been attached at the hip ever since, collecting memories, laughing through life together, and fully embracing the fact that we’re both a little weird in all the best ways. Somewhere between the flowers, late-night talks, inside jokes, and inevitable debates over where to eat, we became best friends, partners, and home for one another. Now, we can’t wait to start our next chapter together as husband and wife and to share this special day with all of our friends and loved ones!
