Plaza District
Our favorite district in Oklahoma City! Our favorite restaurants there include Empire Slice House, The Mule, and Mexican Radio. We also recommend checking out the local stores like DNA Galleries, Out on a Limb, and Bad Granny's Bazaar. It is located on NW 16th Street between Classen and Penn and is only 20 minutes from our venue.
Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum
If you have never visited the OKC National Memorial & Museum, (especially if you are a fellow Oklahoman) we highly recommend it. The state-of-the-art Memorial Museum takes visitors on self-guided tours through the story of those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever by the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building – as well as the world’s response in its aftermath. It is a solemn, but important experience.
Oklahoma City Zoo
Emily grew up going to the OKC Zoo at least once a week in her childhood days. Fun for couples or the whole family! Be sure to check out the elephant exhibit, and not just because they are Emily's favorite animals. :)
Myriad Botanical Gardens
The Myriad Botanical Gardens is a 17-acre botanical garden and interactive urban park located in downtown OKC. It is a gorgeous must-see attraction.
