We met online at Single Parents Meet. That was April 5, 2005. As unbelievable as it is, this beautiful man can really talk if he wants too. We spent hours and hours on the phone every day. With the East Coast West Coast time difference Dennis and Corey would call me every night before they went to bed while I was at work to say good night. From the first conversation he just had this beautiful soft southern drawl and I was hooked. My son Rob and I flew out to California the first time on May 27, 2005 to meet Dennis and the boys..........

We flew in on Friday night (Chris's B-day) Dennis and Corey met us at the airport. On Saturday we went hiking and then Sunday we went to the zoo. After the zoo we went to Joyce's family's for a cookout and a poker party. Needless to say I didn't know anybody but it didn't matter, I felt at home and jumped right in. I watched the littlest kids and just listened. Everybody was welcoming. I remember at one point I went and got myself a cup of coffee and asked Dennis if he wanted a cup. He did so I poured him a cup and started to take it to him. that's just me. I remember Joyce telling me that I needed to make him get up and get himself. Oh well I took it to him anyway and have been trying to make sure he's taken care ever since. I went back to Carolina with a Rangers ball cap (little league team) in my bag and left my heart in California.
