If your crunched for time, have a light lunch at their farm to table restaurant!

Whether you're a foodie, an animal lover, or simply looking to explore the local area, it's a stop worth making during your weekend stay. Located in Bantam, CT their farm to table restaurant Arethusa al travolo is one not to miss! Then pop over to their dairy shop next door for some delicious ice cream and cheeses! The main farm located in Litchfield, CT host farm tours on Saturdays!

City Gallery is a contemporary gallery of art featuring rotating exhibitions by local artists, and definitely worth checking out! Then take a short walk to grab a legendary bite at Frank Pepe’s, Modern Apizza, or Sally’s Apizza, each serving up New Haven’s iconic coal-fired pies! Frank Pepe's was where we had our first date!

West Hartford’s got a little bit of everything — it’s a great place to check out if you’re around for the weekend. You can wander through the gorgeous rose gardens at Elizabeth Park, or take in the peaceful trails around the scenic West Hartford Reservoir. Our favorite pre Football Sunday activity! If shopping’s your thing, Westfarms Mall has plenty to browse, from high-end to high-street, you'll be able to find what your looking for here! Now that you've worked up an appetite head to some of the best restaurants around! Some of our favorites are SHU (authentic Chinese), Zohara (Mediterranean), Treva (upscale Italian) or Coracora (award-wining Peruvian)!

Mystic is a charming seaside village with a picture-perfect downtown that captures all the beauty of classic New England. Take a leisurely stroll through the historic streets, lined with coastal charm, and inviting little shops. For some family-friendly fun, visit the Mystic Aquarium or step back in time at the Mystic Seaport — rich in history and great for all ages. While downtown, pop into SIFT Bakery for one of their famous pastries, then settle on the green to watch the iconic drawbridge rise as sailboats glide by. Explore the local boutiques for unique finds, and when hunger strikes, head to The Engine Room for one of the best burgers and cocktail menus in the state. Other favorite spots include Red 36 for waterfront views and seafood, Oyster Club for seasonal farm-to-table fare, or S&P for the best clam chowder! Honestly, you can’t go wrong!

We wanted to include Newport, Rhode Island, because it holds a very special place in our hearts — it’s where some of our favorite memories were made, and we’d love for you to experience a bit of its magic too. This beautiful coastal town is full of historic charm, grand seaside mansions, and breathtaking ocean views. Spend the day exploring the famous Cliff Walk, touring the Gilded Age estates, or simply soaking up the salty breeze in town with an ice cream in hand. Whether you’re wandering through the harbor or enjoying a sunset by the water, Newport is pure New England romance and where we got engaged — and we hope you love it as much as we do.
