Flight
We recommend flying into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). You will need a passport to travel internationally. Don't forget to ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after your return travel date. It takes ~1 hour to go through immigration and customs. It takes an additional ~45 minutes to drive to Sayulita. To be conservative, you should plan on arriving in Sayulita ~2 hours after you land.
Travel Note
Sayulita is a ~45 minute drive from PVR. If you'd prefer, you can hire a round-trip car service (Sayulita Luxury Transportation is an option and linked below). Alternatively, you can take an Uber or taxi (Ubers are ~$50 USD one-way, taxis are more expensive, around $85 USD one-way), and you will still need to plan your return trip to PVR. We do not recommend renting a car - Sayulita is not a car-friendly town and you will struggle to drive and park in town. Once you're in Sayulita, you will not need a car. Sayulita is an extremely walkable town. For transportation, you can easily rent a golf cart for your time in Sayulita.

There are tons of amazing villas to rent in Sayulita! We highly recommend renting from Airbnb and staying close to the center of town.
