Details for Rescheduling Wedding

Answer

We have rescheduled our wedding for the week of February 27 to March 3, 2023. We hope that this gives everyone enough time to reschedule and rearrange their travel plans. We understand this might not work for every one so we ask to please let us know if you can attend the wedding by January 13, 2023

How can we reschedule?

Answer

If you have booked a stay with the resort, please email our coordinator Yhasmina at yhasmina@villamontana.com to arrange to have your reservation changed, or refunded. She has assured me they will honor the same prices and will offer to reschedule the reservations or offer a refund. if you have any issues with this please let us know so we can help!

Rescheduling Flights

Answer

We have found that most of the airlines are offering to reschedule flights at no extra cost or offering a travel credit. If you require proof or a reason for cancellation please let us know and we will try to help as best as possible.

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

The rehearsal dinner will take place directly on the beach. So please consider Beach Attire: Wear linen pants, short-sleeved button downs, maxi dresses, and sandals. Our Ceremony will take place on the grounds of the resort (not on the beach!) followed by cocktail hour and the reception will be indoors in their Garden Ballroom. We ask for guest to be in Cocktail/ Garden Attire: consider wearing cocktail dresses, flowy dresses, floral prints, spring colors, suits in lighter hues. Dress to Impress!

What dates should I travel to Puerto Rico?

Answer

You are all invited to our welcome party / rehearsal dinner on February 28 and our wedding is on March 1, 2023. We suggest traveling to Puerto Rico Monday February 27 to relax before the festivities. See our event's page for additional information.

What should we expect?

Answer

Our wedding venue is located on the other side of the island of Puerto Rico- less traveled, less tourists- where it's definitely much more quiet, local, country & relaxing. If you're looking for a bit more to do, we'd suggest staying longer to explore Rincon (45 min away) or San Juan (2 hours away.) Please visit the "things to do" page for all available nearby activities.

What are the travel requirements for entering Puerto Rico?

Answer

You will only need a State ID to fly to Puerto Rico, since it is a US territory. Puerto Rico is currently requiring a negative covid test- 48 hours before travel or have proof of vaccination. For any additional details please visit their website. https://travelsafe.pr.gov/#travel-requirements

Do I have to stay at the resort?

Answer

There are more options! See our travel page. If you're looking for more space or affordability- check out options (as early as possible) on Airbnb.com. This would be a great option for bigger groups. For a more luxurious stay, The Royal Isabela Hotel is nearby as well.

When should we book our flight and stay?

Answer

Once you have decided to join us, look into where you will be staying. We suggest booking at least 6 months ahead to receive the best rates and before rooms are all booked up.

Do we have to travel on those dates?

Answer

No, you can plan a trip to the island around our wedding date. Some suggestions we have are - traveling into San Juan the Saturday before our wedding and spending a couple days there, then take a 2 hour drive to our wedding venue Monday or Tuesday morning. You can then fly out of BQN (which is 20 min from the venue) on Thursday or Friday. -fly directly to Isabella (BQN) for our wedding on Monday and drive to San Juan Thursday or Friday to stay there a couple of days. You can fly home directly out of San Juan. - fly in for the wedding only from Tuesday- Thursday, we suggest staying at our wedding venue for this option. The island is only a 2 hours drive from point to point, so you will be able to stay anywhere in the Island you may like so plan accordingly.

Do we need transportation?

Answer

Depending on your schedule, It's suggested you rent a car, especially if you decide to travel the island but other options are available! Venue is secluded, & there are beaches nearby but any more fun activities will need car transportation. Also, if you are planning on staying outside of the venue please plan accordingly if you decide to drink at the reception.
