FAQs

Feel free to reach out to Anna or Dennis directly if you have any questions not answered below!
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The Church ceremony will start promptly at 1pm. The Cocktail hour will start at 6pm followed by dinner and dancing at 7pm.

Question

Is the ceremony and reception in the same location?

Answer

No. The ceremony will be taking place in a church in Chicago, Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church, 1118 N Noble St, Chicago, IL 60642, while the cocktail hour, reception and accommodations will be in the suburb of Oakbrook at The Drake Oakbrook, 2301 York Rd, Oak Brook, IL 60523. They are located 19 miles apart from each other.

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

The church where the ceremony will be taking place has a large parking lot and the Drake Oakbrook also has parking available, both are free of charge!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie optional. Black-tie optional means that guests have the option of wearing their most formal attire (think: an evening gown or tuxedo) but can also choose to wear a formal suit or cocktail dress instead.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP online and we will try to accommodate the best we can!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Of course! Come ready to celebrate with us!

Question

Will food be served?

Answer

The cocktail hour will have passed Hors d'oeuvres along with an open bar. The reception that follows will have a full dinner served with additional food served throughout the night!

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Unfortunately we are only able to accommodate the children in the wedding party or those specifically listed on the invites at our reception. We hope you understand and can still join us on our special day.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

In order to give the venue a correct guest count, only people listed on the invitation can attend, if your invite states you plus a guest feel free to bring a date, just let us know when you RSVP.

Question

Are there any outdoor parts to the wedding?

Answer

Yes, the cocktail hour will be in the courtyard of the hotel, weather permitting. Although the wedding is in June, early June in Chicago can still be chilly at times, bring a light jacket or cover as needed.

Question

Will transport be provided?

Answer

Transport to and from the church will only be provided for the wedding party, we ask that all other guests drive or find other means of transport, if you plan on attending both the ceremony and reception. Please allow yourself ample time to get to the church, as Chicago traffic can be unpredictable at times.

Question

Is the church and reception venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! The church has an elevator that can be used to get to the main floor of the church on the north side of the church right off the parking lot and the Drake Oakbrook is wheelchair friendly as well.
