Answer

The wedding location, Full Moon Resort, is nestled in the rustic Catskill Mountains. Full Moon has hiking trails nearby, a 6 hole Frisbee golf course, and three large fields on the grounds. If you’re interested in taking advantage of these options, please feel free to bring your own gear with you. (hiking boots, sneakers, Frisbee, sports gear, bocce ball set, sled, snow tube, skis, etc.) Also, the evenings can be chilly, so bring a warm jacket or sweater. Bathrobe/slippers (some guest rooms have shared/hall baths) Toiletries/medicine; the Front Desk has emergency and basic medical equipment (Band-Aids, Tylenol, etc.) - nearest pharmacy is approximately 20 minutes from Full Moon. Flashlight for navigating in the dark. Comfortable footwear as there are many gravel pathways on property. Some change for poker or light gambling. There is also a heated pool so bring your swimsuits and towels!

There is no cell phone reception at Full Moon Resort. You will start to lose cell service 20 minutes from the resort. Complimentary phone service for all calls within the U.S. is available at all times at the Inn. There is also complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the facility, no passwords required. Most cell phones have Wi-Fi calling capability. Or there are apps that you can download that use Wi-Fi for calling and messaging.

We know it is chilly in the mountains in December! All events will take place indoors throughout the weekend, with the exception of the campfire on Friday after the welcome BBQ.

For the welcoming BBQ we are planning for a comfortable and lodge campfire cozy vibe. Jeans and comfortable clothing are great options. During the day of the wedding wear what you feel comfortable in for breakfast and lunch. The wedding ceremony will be formal. What we mean by that is suits, dresses, jumpsuits, and whatever makes you feel beautiful! Please note while there are lighted pathways, there is gravel in the drive way and there will be walking from one building to another so please wear comfortable footwear. There is a coat room to use in the Reception area if you need to hang up your coat or change your shoes.

Full Moon is a rustic lodging facility, not a hotel. It is quaint, clean, and provides: - Bath towels - Bed linens - Shampoo and soap (please bring your own conditioner if needed) - Complimentary teas and coffee in the Valley View House (main Inn) from the time breakfast is served until the last meal of the day is served - Wireless internet - Phone call service from the Valley View House. Please note: cell phones do not work at Full Moon. There are no cell phone towers in this part of the Forest Preserve. *Housekeeping services are not provided during the course of the stay. Extra towels may be obtained from the Front Desk as needed.* If you prefer to stay at a traditional hotel (no sweat!), please let us know at your earliest convenience so we can take this into account when coordinating accommodations. Other notes for on-site guests: Personal-stock alcoholic beverages are allowed in your private room, but not allowed in public areas due to State Liquor Laws.

There is some walking between event spaces. The walking paths are a mix of stone and gravel, and grassy areas, so plan your footwear accordingly. The reception hall has a coat area if you wish to bring a change of footwear. For guests in need of assistance, there will be a golf cart that will transport guests from the ceremony site to the reception area.

Pets are not allowed at Full Moon. Please make other arrangements for your furry friends. (Sorry!!)

Answer

Personal-stock alcoholic beverages are allowed in your private room, but not allowed in public areas due to State Liquor Laws. The closest store is about 20 minutes away so pre-plan for any needed alcohol or late night snacks.

Answer

All buildings are non-smoking. However, feel free to take a nice walk away from the crowd and smoke if you have to. In addition, please do not light candles, incense, or any combustible materials in guest rooms.

While we love and adore your children, this will be an adults only affair with the exception of immediate family which will be listed on your invitation.
