We met on Hinge — and yes, we know that might sound a little crazy, but that’s exactly how it all started. At the time, Dennis was stationed in Japan while I was back home in Dawsonville. His profile immediately caught my attention… mostly because every single prompt featured a picture of him and his best friend. Naturally, I had to ask whose account it actually was — thankfully, it was his! One prompt read, “I will never make my bed again,” which I thought was hilarious. If you know anything about the military, you know they’ll flip your perfectly made bed over and over again — no matter how sharp those hospital corners are. From that moment on, the conversation just flowed. We talked for four or five months before finally seeing each other in person when he came home to visit. That visit changed everything. On July 2, 2022, we officially started dating — and from there, our story truly began. Over the years, we’ve grown together through long distance, homecomings, laughter, and everyday life. In December 2024, we took the next big step and moved in together — building a home side by side. Then came the biggest surprise of all. On August 23, 2025, Dennis (with the help of my sister, who had secretly been planning with him all along) completely caught me off guard. He took me to Wolf Mountain Vineyards in Dahlonega, Georgia. It was an overcast day with the softest mist in the air — somehow making everything even more magical. With the breathtaking North Georgia mountains behind us and a quiet deck all to ourselves, he showed up with the most beautiful roses, got down on one knee, and asked me to spend forever with him. And of course, I said yes. From a dating app and a silly profile to mountain views and a forever promise — we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you.
