Flying into the Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) in Santo Domingo is the quickest way to get to the Zona Colonial. The drive can take 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. You can hop into an Uber or book private transportation to your hotel.

Flying into Punta Cana (PUJ)

The Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is roughly a 3-hour drive from Santo Domingo. If you fly into PUJ, you'll need to arrange private transportation to Santo Domingo (details below). It's a convenient airport to fly through if you'd like to soak in more vacation time before or after the wedding—there are endless resorts to choose from!

Getting Around

We do not recommend you rent a vehicle to drive in the Dominican Republic. Instead, Ubers are trustworthy and the easiest way to move around the city. If you want to adventure outside of the city, we recommend booking private transportation or booking directly with a tour company. For private transportation, we recommend booking "Sheila Servicios Turísticos."
