It was about a year and a half ago, I was dancing in the dark, by myself or with my friends, three or four times a week to my favorite local cover bands, Yellow Brick Road and the Fab. At the Red Rock Station venue, I noticed a really hot guy, dancing nearby. The first thing I noticed about him was his incredible smile. You could see the kindness in him...his beautiful soul shone right through. I found out later he was the brother of a wonderful Facebook friend. I felt a pull towards him immediately, but I wasn’t ready, yet. I’d said “no, I don’t drink” to anyone asking if they could buy me a drink. But one night, about a year after we’d first noticed each other, Ken (finally) asked me, “would you like to go to coffee?” And the word “yes” tumbled out of my mouth, before I could stop it. There was a bit of a delay before we actually got together—we both had some things we had to learn, first. But after a few months, we finally connected, started texting each other, and had our first date, our first hug, and then (on our second date, on the dance floor) our first kiss! And I’ve found my dance partner for the rest of my life. 🕺💃💖
