Formal: Gowns are welcome, and so are suits, fancy jumpsuits and cocktail dresses. Dress pants, button ups, & dress shirt. Colors to avoid: baby blue, dusty blue, beige, and white.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, a monetary gift would be very welcome.
The resort has transportation accommodations with your booking of the room. We must communicate to the resort in advance after booking the flight to inform them your arrival time so they can be there to pick you up on time. The same applies to leaving the hotel for your flight. you must speak to the vacation planner department at the resort and inform them your departure time so they can accommodate transportation to the airport. If your flight changes after you’ve already given the resort your flight information, you must reach out to them again with that info. Contact us if you need help doing this. Remember to give yourself enough time to get to the airport so you don’t miss your flight. (A couple of hours in advance) the email to book transportation is ontourtransfer@rcdhotels.com
Think summer time fun. Sunblock to avoid getting sunburn. Aloe gel to heal any possible sun burns. Swim suits/ swim trunk, swim cover ups, shorts, t-shirts, sun dresses, and sandals are essential for all the pool time fun and lunch time breaks. Gym shoes and comfortable clothing for possible outdoor activities. Some nice dinner attire, such as dresses, polos, and button downs. You may also need some medicine for possible nausea or headaches from the flights or partying too much. While traveling *PLEASE REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR VAULABLES (jewlery, watches, money, etc.) IN YOUR PERSONAL BAG, AND IN THE SAFE (when you get your room). LIQUIDS OF 3oz OR LESS CAN GO IN YOUR CARRY ON, ANYTHING OVER MUST BE CHECKED. LOOK UP TSA GUIDELINES AND AIRLINE GUIDELINES FOR MORE INFO.*
We want to have everyone booked by April. The pandemic set back a lot of plans for everyone, therefore summer 2022 is becoming the time for weddings. Rooms are booking faster than ever and availability may be limited the longer we wait. After you book, please remember to RSVP.
With our rate, each room is around $2,300 - $2,631 (books for two people) for a week of July through the 17th. The cost per person in 1 room would then be up to $1,315.50 for the week. You can add additional people to the room, but each additional person is an additinal cost, depending on the age. For 18+ it is more or less $120 per night so for the week it would be more or less $840, for 13-17 yrs old it is more or less $60 per night so for the week it would be more or less $420, and for 4-12 it is more or less $30.50 per night so for the week it would be more or less $213.50. (8days & 7nights). The week rate for the room comes with 700 resort credits. As for the price per day for those unable to stay for the week, we were told guest must stay for a minimum of 5days/4nights, which would be $1,610-$1,678 for two. Any additional person for the 4 night is $120 per night. This would include 400 resort credits. If prices ever change, we will keep you all posted.
You will need to contact us when you are ready to book the room. When you are ready, you will need to have your payment ready, email address to send you the payment link and your confirmation, and keep in mind this is non-refundable, so make sure you are 100% ready when booking. Also you will need to confirm the dates you will be staying, the number of nights (7nights/8days or 4nights/5days), and if you'd like a single bed (fits 2people) or double bed (fits 2-4people). If you are only able to stay for less than 5days/4nights, you will mostlikey have to try outside booking sources, which unfortunatly will not give us the best rate or resort credits to use. Also does not guarantee entry. Lastly, the resort informed us that guests that book outside our booking source will be charged $25 per person per event to attend. Those that book outside the hard rock, must purchase a day pass $130, which isn’t guaranteed to be available (more info about this in the FAQ about booking outside HRC)
Overall we’d recommend booking through HRC. It’s not every day we get to do this and a major reason for doing a destination wedding is to be able to have a lovely family Wedding + vacation with everyone we love. However if you can’t. The Hotel has rules for those that don’t stay in HRC and want to attend the wedding. One rule being that you will need to purchase a wedding pass (for adults and children) if you want to attend the wedding. There is a $130+ fee per person for the wedding pass. The next thing is they only allow the wedding pass to be purchased the day of the wedding ceremony. The passes only grant you access up to 11:00pm. Lastly, the pass is NOT guaranteed for two reasons; one being that they only allow a small percentage of the total number of guests attending the wedding to purchase one, and the other is depending on Covid they may not allow outsiders into the hotel. Please inform us if you plan to attend the wedding but are booking outside HRC
Get your Passport ahead of time. They typically take more or less 4months to process them and get them mailed to you. Due to Covid they may be delayed, so make sure you get it ahead of time. You can make an appointment at your local post office to inquire about time, and process. To get information on how to get your passport you can visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply.html If you already have a passport, don’t forget to verify the expiration date. Make sure to renew it ahead of time. For renewals you can check out https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/renew.html
There is no exact date to book. Look into flights ahead of time so you can find the best deals. We mean months in advance. Check different airlines, google flights, Expedia website, hopper, etc.
It’s an all-inclusive resort, therefore swim, play, party, relax, order room service, drink and eat all you want. You don’t pay for the food or drinks, but feel free to tip the kind staff. There are many activities and shows going on all day that you can attend and participate in. Also there is a safe in the room to store your valuables, some slippers, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, and lotion.
The rooms book for 2 people in each room, so we suggest finding another friend or family member to room with that will also be staying alone. If you'd prefer to bring a plus one to help split the cost of the room, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible to make accommodations on our end. The rooms fit 2-4 people depending on the bed situation. The rooms with double beds fit up to 4 and the room with a single king-size bed will fit 2. The rates that we have gotten are for July 8th-17th. If you decide to travel and stay for different dates, just keep in mind the rates per night may increase for any date after the 17th and the wedding is on the 14th.
We will be staying a week, but it is completely up to you. The travel dates that give you the best deal for our wedding are for no later than July 17th. You get the most out of it by making this destination wedding your vacation. Keep in mind our rates are less than outside sources, so take advantage of our booking deals. Regardless of how long you can stay, we know you will have a lovely time and we are extremely grateful that you are a part of our special day.
You can use the credits for the spa and outside activities, such as swimming with the dolphins, zip line, tours, and more. These resort credits help pay for these activities and then all you have left to pay are some taxes/service fees. The fee/tax cost depends on the original price of the activities, but would be about 20%-25% of the original price. You can ask the front desk to help direct you to the organizer that plans out the use of the credits. You are in no way obligated to use them but they do have some fun activities you can do with them. For example: If there’s an activity for $100. You will just pay the service fee when you use the resort credit. So you would pay around $25.
Because rooms book for two, you can bring a plus one to split the rate with your guest, we just ask that you let us know in advance if you decide to do that. You can also try to room with a family/friend that you know is attending the wedding and may be in need of a roomate.
