Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have two hotel blocks reserved which can be found on the "Travel" tab of this website. Besides these room blocks, there are many great home rental (Airbnb, HomeAway, etc.) and bed and breakfast options in the area.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will have free parking. The welcome party, however, does not have parking. We suggest walking or taking an Uber. Should you decide to drive, there is metered parking as well as a few parking lots in the area.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional. Ladies may wear a long evening gown, dressy suit or shorter cocktail dress. Men may wear a tuxedo or suit and tie.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 PM but we suggest arriving at least 10 minutes early. The reception will begin at 6 PM; however, the hotel bar will be open should you decide to come earlier. Please note that August is peak season in Newport so traffic is very congested. Please plan accordingly.

What do I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 2PM and will last approximately one hour, so there will be time to relax and explore before the reception! For those interested in exploring, we are in walking distance to many attractions in downtown Newport. Please see our "Things to Do" section for some ideas! We look forward to celebrating with you at the cocktail hour beginning at 6PM!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. However, weather permitting, the cocktail hour will be held outdoors on a patio.

Can I bring a date?

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be a 21+ event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Please reach out if you need help arranging child care.
