We're getting married!

It was a chance meeting, guided by fate, on a February afternoon in 2013. Julia had planned to spend the evening in Miami Beach, but on a whim, she chose the vibrant streets of Midtown Miami instead. At the same time, Denis, frustrated with the endless traffic on Interstate 95, decided to escape the chaos for a drink in Midtown. Neither knew their paths were about to intertwine at the News Lounge, where a single glance changed everything. Their eyes met across the bar, sparking an undeniable and tantalizing connection that would never fade. On their first date, they spent the evening in a whirlwind of conversation, captivated by each other’s presence. After two magical dates in Midtown, life pulled them in different directions. Julia’s career took her to Puerto Rico in the spring of 2013, while Denis, left alone in Miami, decided to pursue his passion in commercial real estate. Despite the miles between them, the bond and connection remained. Julia visited Miami occasionally, and each time, they’d reconnect—brief moments that reignited old and lingering feelings. Then, in April of 2016, during one of Julia’s visits to Miami, Denis just happened to be helping a friend through a breakup in Wynwood, the inevitable happened! After three long years, Denis finally kissed her. The kiss lingered, leaving a memorable imprint on his heart. Julia returned to Puerto Rico, leaving Denis with the memory of that kiss and night. Years passed. Julia’s life was shaken by a hurricane that ravaged Puerto Rico, forcing her and her Puerto Rican dog Ru$ta, to relocate to Charleston, South Carolina. Denis, now single and weathering the storm of a breakup and the 2020 pandemic in Miami, found himself in a period of reflection. One day, in a twist of fate, while trying to contact a colleague named Julian, Denis' fingers mistakenly dialed Julia’s number instead. It had been four years since that fateful kiss, and just like that, they were back in each other’s lives. The stars aligned once more. With Julia in Charleston and Denis in Miami, they decided to meet halfway in the historic city of St. Augustine. That weekend was electric. Under the glow of the moon, everything fell into place, as if the universe had conspired to bring them together again. For the next year, they navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship. Julia knew, from that weekend in St. Augustine and so did Ru$ta, that Denis was the one. But it took Denis another year to realize the depth of his feelings. In the winter of 2021, he met Julia’s protective family—including her father and two brothers. To everyone’s surprise, Denis charmed them, earning their approval. Not long after, Julia moved from Charleston to South Florida, ready to start the next chapter of their love story. A year later, while opening a newly renovated hotel, they bought a house together, adopted a tuxedo cat named T’Chi, and in the summer of 2023, Denis proposed to the love of his life on the Alte Brücke in Heidelberg.
