Our story starts with a night out at Jonathan's favorite bar in all of New York City- The Gem Saloon. Julia was skeptical at first to say the least but the two bonded over similar life stories. After some small talk that lasted well into the early morning hours, Jonathan walked Julia to a cab and she reluctantly gave him her number. The following week, Jonathan asked Julia to dinner, which is respectfully declined (as most girls would for a first date) asking to do drinks instead, but Jonathan was persistent citing "I like to eat when I drink." Their first date was anything but boring- Bar hopping around Murray Hill, ending the night with Dollar Slice and of course, drinks at The Gem Saloon. While the first date was great, Julia (the stubborn girl she is) was still not sold. It took Jonathan many dates, wining and dining Julia like the princess she is, to convince Julia that this was for real. It wasn't until Jonathan left for Coachella that Julia (and Jonathan) realized how much they were truly smitten for each other. Jonathan ran around Coachella telling everyone he was in love with this girl back in NYC (meanwhile, they had only been seeing each other only for a few weeks- When you know you know, I guess). When he returned, Julia & Jonathan officially started dating and the rest is history! 5 years, 1 Stanley Cup Championship, 6 Dave Matthews Concerts, 2 apartments , 8 vacations, 1 pandemic & quarantine in a 1 bedroom apartment, and lots of love, tears, smiles, and laughs later, here we are- Ready for the rest of our journey to begin!
