The Omni Grove Park Inn
Seth took Jess here for one of their first weekends away and it immediately became her happy place. Must-visit for cocktails with a beautiful view or coffee in rocking chairs by the giant fireplaces. If you can swing the high prices, the spa is to die for.
12 Bones Smokehouse
Barbecue heaven. Don't miss the ribs, corn pudding or mashed sweet potatoes. You're welcome.
Sunny Point Café
Best huevos rancheros of all time.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
Massive brewery with an impressive tour and fun outdoor space for lunch, cornhole, and beers, obviously.
Burial Beer Co.
Great beer + a giant mural of Tom Selleck = good times.
Biscuit Head
Biscuits might be the best thing about the South. Worth the lines at either of their two locations.
Corner Kitchen
Delicious lunch spot. Ask for the Obamas' table!
Dupont State Forest
Plenty of easy to moderate waterfall hikes.
Biltmore
Cool tour and winery, but warning, not a cheap ticket.
The North Carolina Arboretum
Gorgeous gardens and groomed trails.
Hole Doughnuts
Brioche doughnuts straight out of the fryer. Very worth the wait.
White Duck Taco Shop
Eat your mole duck, steak and cheese or Thai chicken tacos at the picnic tables along the river.
