Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early (2:30 pm) . The wedding ceremony will begin promptly in the Courtyard by 3 PM. Once the processional begins interruptions cannot be allowed.
Please plan to have a babysitter that day for children under 12. Plan to enjoy adult time with music and food and plan for a "Mommy Day Out" or "Daddy Day Out". Please note that some exceptions will have to be made to this rule for children in the wedding party and those traveling across the country. Every guest (including each child) must be accounted for, for purposes of seating and the reception (Please Review Your Invitation).
Greenville, NC Is located in eastern NC about 1.5 hours from the RDU airport..this means a car rental is often needed to drive from Raleigh to Greenville. There are flights that fly into Greenville, NC however, they are often pricey. Commuting by car from your state to NC is always an option. If you are from the DC, NY, or NJ area it may be more feasible to drive. Please DO NOT CONFUSE this city with Greenville, SC while using GPS (You will miss the wedding:)).
The Hilton has arranged discounted rooms for our guests. Please visit https://www.hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/whitaker-williams2022/. to book a room. Discounted rooms must be booked by April 13, 2022. If you are traveling with a party that includes multiple guests this will be your best option as it is the sole location of the wedding and in close proximity to shops and restaurants in Greenville, NC. (If for some reason the discounted rooms are all taken (before April 13th) please reach out to us and we will have the Hilton block off more rooms). Plan to book as soon as possible (By APRIL 13th for a discounted room). The Holiday Inn is also next door to the Hilton and may (or may not) have better rates than the Hitlon per night. The Hampton Inn is also within walking distance of the Hilton and is located beside the convention center. Other choices within Greenville include Wingate by Wyndam and Courtyard by Marriot although they may be a little further from the Ceremony.
As always go with what you are most comfortable with. Plan to bring a mask with you to wear intermittently during the day (e.g. While in the buffet line) and wash your hands frequently. Please do not come if you are ill or have a fever, Vaccinations and Booster shots are often a safer option. As of now events at the Hilton have not been canceled or postponed due to Covid. We will inform you all of any changes.
Expect to arrive at 2:30 pm. There is no arranged seating for the Ceremony (except the rows indicated) so guests may sit on both sides. Immediately following the Ceremony is the reception. The reception in right across the hall. There will be refreshments and musical entertainment. We will move through the day via the program. During the reception there is no arranged seating (except as indicated) please plan to sit with your family members, friends, or close acquaintances (if possible).
Please review your invitations. You may see your name and the name of your plus one on the front of your wedding invitation envelope. Inside, the invitation will indicate if you have a plus one. Due to limited capacity and capacity within the ballroom a plus one may or may not be permitted. RSVP on this website and RSVP for you and your plus one. If the name of your plus one is known you will see their name(s) listed along with yours within the RSVP tab. If the name of your plus one is unknown, they will be listed as "Plus One" (e.g. Jane Smith; plus one).
