What is the attire for wedding?

Answer

Black-tie optional - We ask that you wear a tuxedo or dark suit and tie. Alternatively, an evening gown or a midi- or knee-length cocktail dress would be appropriate.

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, given the size of the venue and type of event set-up we have, we are not having guests under the age of 18 with the exception of immediate family. But, feel free to reach out to us for suggestions for local childcare in the Newport area if you are coming in with the whole family from out of town!

What is the typical weather like in Newport this time of year?

Answer

Update: The weather is looking chillier than expected, so you may want to bring outerwear for temperatures in the low-60s during the day, dropping in the evening. Our ceremony will be outdoors by the water with the ceremony taking place inside of an outdoor tented area. Typical weather in Newport for this time of year is a high in the mid-to-upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s, with a late afternoon/evening wedding like ours, we’d suggest preparing for those relatively cooler temps in the evening.

Will there be transportation to and from the wedding for guests?

Answer

Yes. There will be shuttles leaving the Newport Marriott that any guest may take, even if not staying at the Marriott. They will make regular trips between the hotel and the ceremony site beginning at 2pm. They will also make return trips in the evening, and if your hotel is along the route from Castle Hill Inn to the Newport Marriott you may request to be dropped off on the return trip. Please note, there will be no other stops on the pick-up route TO the ceremony, however.
