This is a beautiful outdoor memorial located about 20 minutes from our wedding venue. The town of Bedford lost 19 soldiers on D-Day, possibly the largest per capita loss of any town in the USA on that day.
This is a wonderful paved trail system that meanders through many parts of Lynchburg and is loved by walkers, runners, and bicyclists. Our favorite place to pick up the trail is in downtown at the corner of Jefferson St and 8th St behind the children's museum. You can rent bicycles by the hour, explore the old tunnel, and enjoy rolled ice cream afterwards.
