Answer

If you have any other questions that are not listed here, please feel free to reach out to the Erin or Colton!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! WELCOME PARTY: The dress code for the welcome party is cocktail. Ladies can wear dresses (short or long) or dressy separates and comfortable heels or flats. For gentlemen, a blazer / sport coat and dress pants (or suit) is recommended, and a tie is optional. No jeans please. Please note that it could get windy on the cruise. CEREMONY & RECEPTION: The dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception is formal. Ladies can wear dresses (floor-length, or tea-length) or dressy separates and heels or flats that can be worn in grass. Gentlemen can wear a suit and tie. All other events are casual.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no", so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, our wedding ceremony and reception will be an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family.

Question

Will I be able to attend the Welcome Party if I arrive after 6pm on Friday?

Answer

Unfortunately, the boat will leave from the Meredith dock at 6pm ET and any late arrivals will not be able to attend. We will see you at the hotel when we get back!

Question

Is there transportation to/from the venue?

Answer

As we are encouraging our guests to stay on-site at Mill Falls, we will not be providing transportation from other hotels. Please note that Uber/Lyft are limited in the Lakes Region and can often be unreliable. If you will be staying at another hotel, we encourage you to arrange a taxi or determine a designated driver in advance!

Question

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors on grass, and the reception will be indoors.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Arriving to the ceremony 15 minutes early is a great idea to ensure you're able to settle in before it begins.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony (no phones or cameras). We have hired professionals to capture this moment so everyone can be present. Please allow them to do their best work. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!
