In order to keep everyone safe and healthy, Cody and I have decided to postpone our wedding celebration. We will still get married in a small ceremony with immediate family on 10/10/2020. We have also rescheduled our reception for 10/9/21, and we hope to see you all there! If you are able to attend our new reception date on 10/9/21 and you have already RSVP'd, then there's no need to change anything! If you are no longer able to attend our new date, you can change your RSVP as well. If you haven't RSVP'd yet, you can do so at any time! All hotel reservations that were already made have been switched over to our new room block for next year. You don't have to change anything! If you have not yet made a reservation, you will be able to reserve a room in our new room blocks starting next summer.
You all have been a part of our lives for so long now that I'm sure you've heard this story before (it sure feels like we've told it a million times), but in case you haven't, this is how it all started: Cody and I met almost nine years ago through Lexy (a friend). We all spent the whole day together, and by the end of it I was already smitten. One week later we had our first date (it was bangin' in Cody's words)
For our seven year anniversary, Cody and I took our first big trip together to Kauai. On the morning of our seventh anniversary, we woke up early and drove to the beach to watch the sunrise. As we were walking along the beach, Cody said that he had gotten me an anniversary gift (even though we agreed that we wouldn't get each other anything), but he didn't think I would be mad for too long. Then he dropped down to one knee and asked me to marry him. I couldn't have been happier, or more surprised. Little did I know, the surprises didn't stop there. Cody had also hired a photographer who was on the beach with us, and able to capture the whole thing. All of our engagement photos are from that incredible morning.
