Question

NEW: International Entry Systems

Answer

If your travel plans include connecting through London, we highly recommend applying for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) in advance. While you may not plan to leave the airport, having an ETA is important in case of delays, rerouting, or any situation that requires you to pass through border control. Additionally, please be aware that Europe is rolling out the new Entry/Exit System (EES). This may require travelers to go through additional processing upon arrival, which could mean longer lines at passport control. Be sure to allow extra time and travel prepared. Don’t forget to register for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) through the U.S. Department of State. This allows you to receive important updates and helps the embassy contact you in case of an emergency while abroad. Check out our Linktree or your email for more information!

Question

NEW: E-sims & Travel Insurance

Answer

We also recommend looking into an eSIM for your travels, which allows you to access data internationally without needing a physical SIM card. This can be incredibly helpful for staying connected, using maps, coordinating transportation, and keeping in touch with us and other guests throughout the trip. eSIMs can be purchased online in advance through various providers, or directly through your phone if it is compatible. For added convenience, we suggest purchasing travel insurance through FAYE, which often includes an eSIM as part of your plan. Travel insurance is highly recommended, as it can protect you against unexpected issues such as trip delays, cancellations, lost luggage, or medical emergencies while abroad. Passignano sul Trasimeno is a charming lakeside town located in the province of Perugia, in the heart of Umbria, Italy. Situated on the northern shore of Lake Trasimeno, it offers visitors a perfect blend of medieval history, stunning natural beauty, and authentic Italian culture. Tourists can explore the quaint historic old town with its narrow cobblestone streets and ancient towers, and visit the impressive Rocca fortress, which provides panoramic views over the lake. A short ferry ride from Passignano takes you to Isola Maggiore, a picturesque island featuring walking paths, historic churches, and artisan shops. The lakeside promenade is ideal for relaxing strolls, swimming, or simply soaking up the beautiful sunsets. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the many biking and hiking trails around the lake and surrounding hills. Food lovers can savor traditional Umbrian dishes and fresh fish from the lake at local trattorias. Reach out to our travel agent Kristy to get more information about the town! Question

Do I need a Passport?

Answer

Yes — all guests will need a valid passport to travel to Italy. If you don’t have a passport yet, we recommend applying as soon as possible, as processing times can vary and may take several weeks. If you already have a passport, please double-check the expiration date — Italy requires your passport to be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure date from the area. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport.html Still have questions about international travel or passport requirements? We’re happy to help point you in the right direction.
