A Note to Our Guests

Answer

1. A photographer will be working during the ceremony, and therefore we ask that guests please refrain from taking photos or video on personal devices. Our wish is for our guests to live in the moment! 2. Guests should arrive by 5 pm to allow time to park and gather on the beach. 3. We suggest all guests who plan to stay the night and enjoy an evening of celebration by the fire bring a lawn chair, as the seating provided by the hotel is limited.

Where can we find your registry?

Answer

Due to the nature of our destination wedding, we are not asking for gifts. We would prefer you book a room and spend time with us on our special day! If you feel the need to provide a gift, cards are preferred owing to the need for travel and limited transportation space.

Where can we book a room for the night?

Answer

We will be staying at the Cavalier Oceanfront Resort, and this is where we will be spending the evening by the fire. However, if preferred, we have listed additional hotels nearby to the event. Please see the "Accommodations" tab for more details.

What is the required attire?

Answer

This is an outdoor beach wedding. We will have our toes in the sand, and we hope our guests dress to enjoy the experience! Average temperatures for June are mild - 80° / 60°, so it is recommended guests dress for comfort. Morgan will be wearing an informal bohemian-style dress, and Joseph will be wearing khaki pants and a collared shirt.

Will there be a cash bar or an open bar?

Answer

We will be providing wine, beer and spirits to our guests free of charge. On the day of the event, a hotel room booked by a member of the wedding party will be opened to all guests and will host a variety of drinks and mixers. We will also provide appetizers and dessert options alongside any beverages. Please feel free to bring any specialty drink or food items if so desired. In addition, there is a hotel bar located in the on-site restaurant, as well as room service options for hotel guests.

Will there be a photographer?

Answer

Yes, we will have a photographer on-site during the ceremony and afterwards for group pictures.

Are kids allowed at the ceremony?

Answer

Please bring your children! The best part about our casual wedding is the freedom it affords us and our guests. We want everyone to share our special day, including the little ones.

What food will be available after the ceremony?

Answer

We will be providing appetizers and dessert options to our guests. On the day of the event, a hotel room booked by a member of the wedding party will be opened to all guests and will host a variety of appetizers and dessert options including charcuterie faire, cupcakes, and brownies. Please feel free to bring any specialty drink or food items if so desired. Dinner will not be provided, however, you will find a list of local eateries under the "Nearby Restaurants" tab where you can enjoy a nice dinner prior to the start of the ceremony at 6 pm.

Where do we park for the event?

Answer

Parking is available at the Cavalier, as well as the surrounding hotels. If you are only staying for the day, we recommend parking in the lot located in front of the Diva Day Spa, 250 San Simeon Ave, San Simeon, CA 93452. This lot is walkable to the ceremony location.

Is the ceremony and hotel pet friendly?

Answer

Yes! As you all know, we never go anywhere without our Reggie. This hotel is extremely pet friendly, and we would love to see any four-legged guests at our ceremony!
