One unique thing we love about our story is how we met and how down to the details we can be. The date was June 16th, 2014, at 10:30 AM. It was both their first day as new interns at Obsidian Entertainment, a video game company in Irvine, CA. They were both led into the "interrogation room", as the company jokingly calls it, a cramped windowed office where new hires fill out paperwork before starting their day. Nate was wearing a full suit because he didn't know the game industry's "dress code" (or lack there of), while Demi was more appropriately and casually dressed. They greeted each other with a handshake and a simple introduction. They both liked each other from the start, but respected each others space so much that they essentially didn't interact besides a smile or a nod to each other for over 3 years! As time passed, they started to warm up a little bit and started working on casual online chit chat, which was going so well that Nate decided to ask Demi out on a "casual work lunch" (totally not a date if HR asks). They went to Pieology, and both ordered super spicy pizzas to try and impress each other (neither of them handle spice that well). On top of that, they were both so nervous, they could've set a record for least amount of pizza eaten in a sitting! They eventually got over our nerves, went on a real date, and the rest is history. We still work happily at Obsidian (6 years now), live together, carpool most of the time, see each other every day at work, and show no signs of tiring of each other. We wanted to move our commitment to the next level, so we're trying the knot!
