FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We of course want all of our guests to be comfortable and feel their best. That being said, formal attire is requested (suits, gowns, and midi dresses welcome). When choosing your attire, please keep in mind that the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors if weather permits. No need to worry about heels getting stuck in grassy areas! The reception will in a covered but open-air setting.

Question

I’m not feeling well, can I still come to the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that anyone feeling unwell on our wedding day remain home, no matter how last minute it is. All guests are encouraged to take an at-home Covid test the morning of the wedding and stay home if positive. We appreciate guests using caution to protect everyone’s health.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We are aiming for an afternoon ceremony around 4:30 pm, so arrive with enough time to find your seats and get comfortable. Light beverages will be available as you enter.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check the RSVP page to see if you have a plus one. We would love to see everyone's dates, but we need to keep this event to named guests only.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we adore all the children in our lives, we are unable to accommodate young children under the age of 10. We're sorry for any inconvenience this causes and appreciate your understanding.

Question

Can I make a special food request?

Answer

***Update: the venue WILL be serving Halal meat.*** Of course. Please let us know if you have an allergy or are following any sort of dietary protocols for any reason and we will find a way to accommodate you. You can include this information with your RSVP. Beef, poultry, seafood, and vegan options will be available for all guests (no need to decide in advance).

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please refer to the travel section for recommendations on local hotels. Our primary room block is at Hyatt Place Poughkeepsie, where we will be staying and having the bar stay open late on Saturday after the reception. We would love for you stay in the same place, but feel free to book at any hotel or Airbnb you feel comfortable with. We also have room blocks at DoubleTree and Courtyard if you'd prefer.

Question

Is there parking for the wedding?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at our venue and a valet service will be available.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The DoubleTree can provide a small shuttle, please check with the hotel directly. All other hotels listed on our travel page are within 3 miles of The Grandview. Finding an Uber/Lyft is also a great option.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please submit your response by visiting the RSVP section no later than May 1, 2024.

For all the days along the way
