We're getting married!

Demi & Joey met at Richboro Middle School just before Joey's 13th birthday and developed a mutual crush. They spent many hours texting and visited each other's lockers often. Hoping to be more than friends, Joey gifted Demi a heart-shaped necklace on Valentine's Day in 2012, which she still has today. They were close friends through middle school, but Joey was hopeful they would become a couple one day.

Demi & Joey both attended Council Rock High School South and spent most of their time with friends. Toward the end of their junior year, Joey asked Demi to be his date to prom, and she said yes. After junior prom, Demi & Joey became inseparable and spent the entire summer together leading up to their senior year.

Joey asked Demi to officially be his girlfriend on August 2nd, 2016. They were by each other's side their entire senior year, which included their 18th birthdays, CRS football games, a trip to Disney, senior prom, senior week in Myrtle Beach, and graduation. Transitioning to college was a big step in their relationship as they knew that not seeing each other every day would be an adjustment.

Demi & Joey spent much of college commuting between Saint Joseph's University and Temple University to visit each other. Joey traveled to Greece with the Zissios family during the summer after their freshman year. Their sophomore year was filled with sorority formals and dates in Center City. At the beginning of their junior year, Demi & Joey endured the loss of Demi's loving mom, Renee. Joey and Renee shared a close bond, and she would have been honored to welcome him as her son-in-law. Demi & Joey remained inseparable throughout Demi’s semester abroad in Italy—Joey even traveled to visit her—and through their college graduation in 2021.

After graduation, Demi began the MSOT program at Salus University while Joey started his apprenticeship with the electricians' union. Though they were still living separately, they dreamed of the day they would have their own home together. In August of 2023, they celebrated their seven-year anniversary and became proud godparents to Theo Speir. They spent the summer with family in Brigantine and Sea Isle, looking ahead to an exciting future together.

This was, by far, Demi and Joey's most memorable year. After months of house hunting, they purchased their first home together on Lacey Lane. It felt meaningful to buy in the Spring Mill community, where they celebrated their first Valentine's Day together in 2017 and where Joey has been a member of the golf club for years. Just two weeks after closing, they traveled to Greece with family, where Joey proposed in Chios on August 2, 2024 (their eight-year anniversary). They spent the rest of the summer celebrating their engagement with family and friends.

Soon after their engagement, Demi & Joey began the wedding planning process. They celebrated the completion of Joey's electrical apprenticeship and are now approaching 10 years together. Demi & Joey cannot wait to begin their life together as Mr. & Mrs. Scipione on 10/10/2026, surrounded by all of their favorite people!
