We first met in 2018 as coworkers at Apple, but we didn’t talk much beyond a quick hello and goodbye during our shifts. A few weeks later, fate stepped in when we unexpectedly crossed paths at the campus convenience store. To our surprise, we discovered that not only did we work together, we also went to the same university. That chance meeting was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Before long, we were inseparable: studying together, laughing nonstop, exploring new food spots, and spending countless hours simply enjoying each other’s company. Looking back, we didn’t realize it then, but we were quietly building the foundation for something much deeper. Then, on an ordinary Saturday in 2021, Skartz asked Demetria out on a date and everything changed. That day marked the beginning of our love story. Since then, we’ve traveled together, made countless memories, learned even more about one another, and fallen deeply in love. In February 2025, while celebrating Demetria’s birthday on a trip to Italy, Skartz proposed and without hesitation, she said yes. We are so grateful to be surrounded by love and support as we begin this exciting new chapter. We can’t wait to celebrate our union with all of you in beautiful Miami!
