Airbnb is great as well

We recommend staying close to congress street near Lady Bird Lake as you can walk the lake easily and see the bats at night! You will also be close to shops and spots to eat and within walking distance to downtown. Airbnb anywhere is good, we like East Austin. The Venue is in the Dripping Springs Area and Bee Cave is very close too.

We recommend renting a car if you want to go and see a lot of great sites Austin has to offer, but Lyft and Uber are also available. (It can be pricier than NYC just FYI)
