FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code? (Formal)

Answer

We invite you to join us in elegant evening formal attire. The dress code is important to us, we are hosting a formal celebration and would love for everyone to look their very best! For gentlemen: We kindly request a conservative dark suit styled for the evening. A black or dark colored suit paired with a white dress shirt and a classic tie is most appropriate. For ladies: Floor-length gowns are encouraged. Formal pantsuits, elegant suits, or dressy separates are also appropriate. We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing white, ivory, cream, or other very light shades traditionally reserved for the bride. Please note that cocktail attire, casual suits, sundresses, business-casual outfits, or jeans are not appropriate for this event.

Question

Is there a hotel block? If so, what are the nightly rates?

Answer

We have secured a hotel block at The Hoxton in Downtown Portland, about a five-minute drive from our venue. If you’re interested in staying at our designated hotel, please visit the Travel page on our website to book your room. The Hoxton is a boutique hotel that captures the essence of Portland. Conveniently located in Portland’s Chinatown, it is just a few blocks from the heart of Downtown and the Pearl District. For our hotel block, The Hoxton offers three room options: a Standard King (200 sq ft) for $109 per night, and a Roomier King (270 sq ft) or Two Queens (310 sq ft), both priced at $125 per night. Each room includes a mini fridge, and guests can enjoy complimentary cruiser bikes to explore the city. The hotel also features two great on-site restaurants, an on-site coffee shop, a rooftop bar, and a speakeasy. Valet parking with in-and-out privileges is available for $20 per night for our guests, which is especially convenient for those driving or renting a car during their stay. The wedding party will be staying at the hotel from Tuesday, April 13 through Friday, April 16, so if you’d like to be around for wedding week events, those are great days to plan your stay. Discounted room rates are available during our wedding week for check-ins from Sunday, April 11 through Friday, April 16, with the option to stay through Saturday, April 17. Rooms must be booked by March 14, 2027 to secure the special rate.

Question

How far is the airport from Downtown?

Answer

Portland International Airport (PDX) is about 10 miles from Downtown Portland and our designated hotel, the Hoxton. A Lyft or Uber typically takes 20 minutes with little traffic, 30 minutes during normal traffic, and up to 40 minutes during rush hour. The average rideshare cost is around $20, though prices may be higher during busy times. Guests can also take the MAX Red Line light rail from the airport to downtown in about 30 minutes for around $3 per person. The closest MAX light rail stop to our designated hotel is Old Town/Chinatown MAX Station, which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Official invitations will be mailed by October 1, 2026. RSVP's will open in October and are due no later than March 15, 2027. Due to venue and catering requirements, we won’t be able to accommodate guests who do not RSVP by this deadline.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

While transportation will not be provided, our venue is very centrally located. Guests staying in Portland should find it easy to get to and from the venue via Uber or Lyft.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In mid-April, Portland typically experiences true spring weather. Daytime temperatures are usually in the mid–50s to low–70s, with cooler evenings in the 40s. Spring showers are common, so you can expect a chance of light rain. That said, both our ceremony and reception will be fully indoors, so you’ll be comfortable no matter what the weather brings. We recommend bringing a light coat or umbrella for traveling to and from the venue.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

After four wonderful years of living together, we’re lucky to already have everything we need for our home, so your presence at our wedding truly means the world to us! That is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you were planning to give a gift, we kindly invite you to contribute to our Honeymoon Fund as we celebrate the start of this next chapter together. Your presence is truly gift enough, but if you’re feeling particularly generous, we also have a small Crate & Barrel registry with a few items to help us upgrade some of our current pieces.

Question

When will a wedding week schedule be available?

Answer

We are currently working with our vendors to finalize the timeline for our ceremony and reception. Our welcome party will be held on Wednesday, April 14, with the time and location to be determined. We are also securing details for the rehearsal dinner. As information is confirmed, we will update our website. Please check back around the time invitations are sent for the most up-to-date details on event times and locations.

Question

Can I take pictures or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos or videos during the ceremony. Please keep phones and cameras put away so everyone can be fully present in the moment. We’ve hired a professional photographer to capture everything, and we can’t wait to share the photos with you after! Thank you for helping us make this moment distraction-free.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Question
