We are getting married at Cathedral Beach within the park. From Mariposa, head toward the Arch Rock Entrance via highway 140. From the entrance, the road turns into El Portal Road, which leads into Yosemite Valley.
The national park service has implemented a reservation system to drive into the park during peak hours of peak season: 6 AM to 4 PM, May 20th to September 30th. Since our ceremony will start at the end of peak hours, it is necessary for at least one person in your car to have one of these reservations in order to get to the ceremony location on time. We suggest getting a reservation for the 21st so that it is good until the 23rd, so that you can enjoy the park on multiple days. To make a reservation, go to the following link: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/reservations.htm to reserve a permit through the recreation.gov link. Reservations can start being made on March 23rd. We suggest doing this as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can enter the park via the local public transit system. We ask that you do your own research on this option to see if it will work for your needs.
Rust, sage green, and beige. Groom and groomsmen will be wearing medium blue suits and white shirts.
Morgan and Emma have decided that an intimate, outdoor wedding is exactly what they wanted for their wedding day. The decision to have a micro-wedding/elopement allows them to have the day be centered around them and their relationship, so they can focus less on the details and more on each other and the commitment they are making. We cannot wait to celebrate with our family and friends who can't be in attendance, individually, at a later date. We hope that those who cannot be in attendance understand our decision as we prioritize our future goals over hosting a large wedding.
Throughout our relationship we have spent a significant amount of time doing outdoor activities together and exploring nature. When we think about our favorite memories, the majority of them involve an outdoor adventure, including our engagement. We feel most connected with one-another in nature and we can't think of a better place to begin our marriage than the most beautiful valley on Earth. Additionally, we think it will be very special to be able to take our kids to Yosemite one day and show them the exact spot where we got married.
It is $35 per vehicle. Pass is valid for three consecutive days.
