FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Plan to arrive at 4:00. We will have music and snacks and drinks available while you wait. The wedding party will begin walking down the aisle at 4:30.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

We have very little parking available at the house, but several neighbors have graciously agreed to let us use their driveways as well. Follow signage and attendants will direct you when you arrive. If you can park at the reception location and combine vehicles to ride over to the house for the ceremony that would be helpful.

Question

What if it’s raining?

Answer

The wedding will be held at the Southport town hall if the weather is not cooperating.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Suggested Dress: “Coastal Cocktail” blends classic cocktail attire with a relaxed, beachy aesthetic, emphasizing lightweight, breathable fabrics while avoiding overly formal elements. For women, this means maxi dresses, flowy midi dresses paired with wedges or dressy flats. For men, lightweight suits or blazers with dress pants. Please avoid denim, sneakers, or overly casual attire. Keep the weather in mind, July in Maine can be 65-85 degrees. The Ceremony will be outside in the front yard, weather permitting.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a relaxing and fun evening out!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation will specify how many seats have been reserved for you and your party. Due to venue capacity, we kindly ask that no additional guests attend beyond those listed on your invitation.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting, in the front yard overlooking the ocean. Cocktail hour will also be at the house, feel free to walk down to the dock, have a seat on the porch or gather in the living room. We will move to the Southport town hall for the indoor reception and dueling pianos. Very few places on the coast of Maine have air conditioning (because it is rarely needed) and the temperature can change significantly between afternoon and evening.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP on the Zola website by June 1st and indicate your meal choice: If you have dietary restrictions or questions, feel free to reach out!

Question

Who should I contact if I have any questions?

Answer

You can call or text the mother of the bride, Lori Dana at (740) 649-8559. We're happy to help!
