Formal attire! We are always confused about dress codes so here is a guide to formal attire we found online that we thought would be helpful: Men’s Attire for Formal Wedding: The Suit For men, a dark suit in navy, charcoal, or black is the cornerstone of formal attire. (Light colored suits are okay with us as well, just no tuxedos please!) Shirts and Ties: A crisp, white button-down shirt is the safest and most sophisticated choice. Pair it with a silk tie in a complementary color. Solid ties work well, but subtle patterns or textures can add character without detracting from the overall elegance. Bow ties are an acceptable alternative for a touch of personality. Shoes and Accessories: Complete your look with leather oxford or derby shoes in black or dark brown. Accessories like a pocket square, cufflinks, or a sleek watch can add a touch of refinement. Don’t forget to match your belt to your shoes for a cohesive appearance. Women’s Formal Wedding Attire The Dress: Floor-length gowns are the classic choice for formal weddings, but elegant tea-length or midi dresses can also work, especially for daytime or semi-outdoor events. Choose fabrics like silk, chiffon, or crepe for a luxurious feel. Solid colors like navy, emerald, or burgundy exude elegance, while tasteful patterns can add a touch of personality. Jumpsuits and Dressy Separates: For a modern twist, a tailored jumpsuit in a luxe fabric can be just as formal as a gown. Consider structured styles with wide-leg pants and embellishments like a statement bow or sleek belt. Coordinated separates, such as a chic blouse with a flowing skirt, also make for a sophisticated look. Accessories: Formal attire is elevated by the right accessories. Opt for statement jewelry, such as chandelier earrings or a bold cuff bracelet. A clutch or small handbag in metallic or neutral tones adds practicality without sacrificing style. For footwear, closed-toe heels or embellished sandals are ideal for completing the ensemble.
The wedding ceremony will take place at 6pm at Marina del Rey in a small conservatory outside near the water. If it rains, the ceremony may be moved indoors. The reception will take place indoors.
Parking is available on site at Marina del Rey.
At this time, we are only able to accommodate plus ones that have been included in the number of seats reserved on your invitation.
We are hosting an adults-only event! All invitees are included on the invitation.
Yes! We will be getting married at St. Benedict in the Bronx on our wedding day at 1:30pm. We want to stress that while there is an open invitation to this ceremony and all are welcome, we are not at all expecting anybody to come for this ceremony except immediate family and our bridal parties. We will still be having a ceremony at Marina del Rey at 6pm for all attendees to attend! Should you decide to attend both ceremonies, we suggest using the time in between to check into the hotel and settle in / freshen up, but we ask that you please do not come to Marina del Rey until 6pm as they cannot accommodate you early.
Yes, we anticipate you may hit some heavy traffic on your way to the venue. Please allow 30-45 minutes additional commute time on top of what your GPS is suggesting.
No, Marina del Rey cannot accommodate guests prior to 6pm. If you arrive early, please feel free to check into the hotel!
As we may need to move soon after the wedding and want to limit the number of items we would have to pack, we are asking only for monetary gifts at this time.
Yes! Mr. and Mrs. Levine!
While you may reserve a room at any hotel of your choosing, we have a hotel block at Springhill Suites Tuckahoe Westchester County (A Marriott Property). Unfortunately, the hotel block has been fully booked out due to limited availability during graduation season. You are welcome to book rooms outside of the block if you choose to stay the night! We will also be hosting an after party at the bar at the Springhill Suites bar after the reception ends. We do not have transportation arranged just yet, but will update this page when we book a shuttle!
We do not have any plans for guests at this time, but we ask that you please do not arrive early to the venue. If you are staying at the hotel, check in starts at 4pm and they may be able to accommodate early check in if you request it early!
Yes, we will have an after party at the hotel bar immediately following the reception. All are welcome and you may stay as long (or short) as you like.
We are looking into options for a shuttle the day of the wedding to get guests from the hotel to the venue and from the vanue back to the hotel safely. No official arrangements have been made yet, but we will update this page when we have them!
We will be sleeping in from our late night and are not currently planning any events for Saturday morning. Breakfast is complementary at the hotel for anyone interested in gathering before they head home! If we decide to plan something for breakfast, we will update this page!
If you have more questions, you may reach out to Ryan or Julia.
