When trying to figure out how we wanted to get married, we cycled through a myriad of ideas. From traditional weddings to full blown destination weddings, nothing seemed to be the perfect fit. But when the opportunity presented itself to go to Arizona for Matthew's work, a lightbulb went off in our heads. What better way to pledge our love to each other than doing it at one of the most magical places on earth, the Grand Canyon. This was a trip that we had wanted to take for quite some time, as neither of us had been to the Grand Canyon before. And while we wanted to share this experience with all of our friends and loved ones, we decided to be true to ourselves and keep it as intimate as possible, just the two of us. November 6th was all we hoped it would be and more. We enjoyed a slow morning to ourselves, enjoying Sedona's Cathedral Rock and a good breakfast. Once ready, we drove north, up a mountain and through national forests where the leaves were vibrant yellow, listening to a playlist of love songs. Once at the Grand Canyon, we met Tom and Genie, our officiant and photographer. They made us feel comfortable and guided us through the process. We made our way to Grandeur Point and witnessed a quiet and breathtaking view. Lucky for us, we met a hiker, Cody, who offered to be our witness. Our ceremony was private and personal, with only a few passersby. After sharing our personal vows and sealing it with a kiss, we signed our marriage license and had a sunset photoshoot. We hope you enjoy the photos from this magical moment and a video of our entire trip.
