We met on Wall Street in New York at Goldman Sachs. Clint was a speaker on a panel and I was an invited guest by Goldman. I decided to find a place to relax because I was exhausted from traveling from Florida. I found the perfect place and relaxed there. Shortly afterwards, Clint breezed in, rushing to his awaiting car outside. He noticed I was sitting with my feet up on the coffee table (yikes!) and stopped in his tracks to comment "you look comfortable". I'm sure he was thinking who is this woman brazen enough to put her feet up. Our conversation was only a minute or two because he was in a hurry. He passed me his business card and asked if I would be at the networking hour that evening. I said yes (but I didn't know there was a networking hour). We both showed up at the networking event looking for the other to no avail. I texted him late that night and really wanted to know why he didn't show up. Neither of us addressed it. Shortly after texting, I disappeared in the middle of our conversation. I had fallen asleep. Oops. The next day I flew back to Florida. Clint phoned. We yet again skated around the networking hour. Finally, one of us mentioned it and discovered there were two different networking events. One for VIP'S (Clint attended) and one for the regular folks (I attended :) We continued to talk until the early morning hours and have never stopped!
